This story is part of Amazon Prime Day, CNET’s guide on everything you need to know and how to make sure you get the best deal.

Amazon Prime Day is here and although the new Xbox Series X and Sony PlayStation 5 are coming soon, there’s zero chance we’re seeing any discounts on these consoles. Luckily, there are still a ton of deals on games, gaming gear and accessories available over the next two days that are worth a look, including top Switch games marked down to $40 on Amazon.

There are also some great offers from Target, Best Buy and Newegg when it comes to Amazon Prime Day for gamers. We’re keeping an eye out for the best deals on all things gaming and will keep this list up to date with offers as soon as they arrive. Check out the latest below.

Discounted Nintendo Switch games

Several popular Switch games are on sale via Amazon right now. Here’s the best we’ve seen.

Lots of Razer gaming gear is on sale at Amazon right now, and this is a great price for a very high-end mechanical gaming keyboard. Green, yellow and orange switch versions are available at different levels of discount — basically defining how “clicky” you want the keys to be.

Dell

Here’s your Prime Day splurge. Alienware’s massive 21:9 (really, really widescreen) curved screen display, with a 3,440×1,440 resolution is down to $850. Original price was $1,200, and you can usually find it for around $1,050 or so.

Corsair

One of the best all-around gaming keyboards, with per-key RGB backlighting and Cherry MX Silver mechanical key switches.

Ubisoft

The next Assassin’s Creed game isn’t even out yet, but you can already knock $10 off for current-gen consoles.

The Best Amazon Prime Day Gaming Deals For PlayStation, Xbox, Switch And PC In 2020

It’s that time of year again, where Amazon has Prime Day, a shopping holiday where big discounts are offered on products if you have Amazon Prime, and 2020’s edition may not land you a PS5 or Xbox Series X, but it does have a number of gaming deals that you should check out all the same.

I’ve gone through the pile and picked out a few of the best deals I can find, including a few things I’m going to get myself. This spans PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC, and includes both games themselves and accessories.

Here’s what I would have an eye on if I were you.

Razer Huntsman Gaming Keyboard

If you’re looking for a keyboard upgrade, you should be checking out the selection of keyboards Razer has on sale, including this Huntsman model which boasts the “fastest keyboard switches ever.” My life changed when I finally got a mechanical keyboard, and yours will too.

Razer Naga Trinity Gaming Mouse

If you got the keyboard, you definitely need the mouse to go with it, right? Well, this is the best mouse Razer has on sale right now with all the programmable buttons you could ever hope to use, and a 16,000 DPI optical sensor to boot. This is one I think I’m grabbing for myself, given the sale price.

Razer Kraken Kitty RGB USB Gaming Headset

Alright, alright, so maybe cat ears are not your style for a headset, so they do have one without them. But if you’re a streamer, or considering it, you have to be aware how good these will look on camera, to say nothing of the sound quality these excellent headphones provide.

FIFA 21 Has Biggest Boxed Launch Of 2021 In UK, But Switch Version Flops

FIFA is a big deal in the UK, and the launch of FIFA 21 has done big business in the UK–with some caveats. FIFA 21 is the biggest physical game launch in the UK this year, but sales are down compared to FIFA 20, and the Switch version has sold poorly.

Gamesindustry.biz is reporting that sales on FIFA 21’s boxed copies are down 42% on boxed sales of FIFA 20. There’s a few potential reasons for that–the looming next generation of systems (which will bring new versions of FIFA 21), the growth of the digital market, and the COVID-19 pandemic making players less likely to travel to a store to buy the game all factors in.

It’s unknown how well the game has sold digitally, but this is still a big launch, overtaking the launch sales of The Last of Us Part II and Animal Crossing: New Horizons (both of which are single console exclusives).

The Switch version, however, has bombed. The PS4 version of the game accounted for 62% of sales, while 36% of sales were on Xbox One, but just 2% of sales were for the Switch version.

Of course, there’s a good reason for the Switch version to have not sold–it’s a Legacy Edition, meaning it’s the exact same game as the last three FIFA titles on Switch, albeit with updated rosters. The Switch version does not have enough reviews for a rating on Metacritic yet, but the user rating is down to 0.1/10. Hopefully EA will consider releasing a more substantial update for the Switch version of FIFA 22.

Although the game will likely sell well on PS5 and Xbox Series X when those consoles launch too, it’s worth noting that you’ll get a free upgrade to the new versions if you buy the PS4 or

This week’s episode of New Releases revolves around early access: Baldur’s Gate III is debuting as a work-in-progress, while Foregone is getting its full release. Foregone — October 5

It might look like Dead Cells, but this action game features hand-crafted levels, not randomly generated ones. As you explore, you’ll get better and better loot, helping you take down the game’s many enemies and big bosses. Foregone is leaving early access this week for a full release on PC, with console versions arriving on the 13th.

Baldur’s Gate 3

It’s been 20 years since Baldur’s Gate 2, and Divinity: Original Sin 2 developer Larian is taking us back to the Forgotten Realms. Fans of the original games (and Dungeons & Dragons in general) can expect plenty of turn-based combat and dialogue choices as your work to ride the world of the Ilithid invaders. The third game enters early access this week, and playable first act is said to be even bigger than Original Sin 2’s.

I Am Dead

As the name implies, I Am Dead puts you in the shoes of Morris, a deceased museum curator now living his afterlife in the town of Shelmerston. But the town is about to be destroyed, so Morris will have to look inside the memories of his fellow residents to solve puzzles and save the island.
